The audit view displays audit messages from the currently selected test connection's log files, and provides options to filter and sort messages for easier analysis. The audit view is independent of the current project, so it can be used to analyze audit messages while work is performed on an unrelated project.
A filter can be specified to limit the types of messages displayed. When filtering is enabled, the audit view will show how many messages have been filtered (e.g., "Filter matched 100 of 2333 items"). The audit view provides options to sort, and show/hide columns. All three options are in the drop-down menu of audit view.
The buttons on the top of the view are as follows:
SLIDE can be configured for multiple connections in the connection preferences. Use this drop-down menu to select which of these connections should be used to retrieve and display audit messages. SLIDE Remote is used to poll for audit messages on this connection as soon as it is selected. In addition it is possible to select a log file to display messages from rather than using a remote connection.
Resumes polling for audit messages if it has been suspended.
Stops polling audit messages.
Another way to access the message filter dialog.
Clear the display of all audit messages. Note: if the audit view has not been suspended, it will continue to poll for and display new messages.
Summary information for messages from the selected connection is displayed below the option buttons at the top of the audit view. As new messages are fetched, the summary information will be updated:
