Graphical Editor Preferences
Graphical Editor Preferences allow for the customization of the graphical editor.
The settings available are as follows:
-
Show wizard on object creation causes a dialog to open when a new item is created in the policy.
This dialog prompts the user for required values for that item.
When this option is off, default values are created for the item and can be modified in the properties view.
-
Retain tool selection when creating policy items causes the selection in the tool palette to remain the same after creating a policy item.
This is convenient for the user when many items are created of the same type.
For instance, if five domains are being created, the user will not have to click in the palette to select a domain each time one of these five domains is created.
-
Retain tool selection when creating policy connections causes the selection in the tool palette to remain the same after creating connections.
So if for instance, if multiple access connections are being created, the user does not have to continuously select Access in the palette between every connection that is created.
-
Show Entrypoints and Enters sets the default display of entrypoints and enters.
If this is checked (default), entrypoints and enters will be displayed.
This option can also be set from the Policy Diagram menu.
-
Show backflow arrows configures whether or not backflow arrows should be displayed.
When this option is enabled, use the numeric threshold to configure the minimum weight a backflow must have to be displayed.
To display all backflows, set the threshold to 1.
This option can also be set from the Policy Diagram menu.
The backflow weights are defined in the defined in the dictionary.
-
Color objects when MLS level set specifies that items will have an additional color band when architecting an MLS policy.
This option can also be set from the Policy Diagram menu.
Access the graphical editor preferences by selecting Window-> Preferences...-> CDS Framework->Graphical Editor.
